Ni flotte DM-medaljertil Værløses badmintonungdom
I weekenden den 8.-10. april deltog 11 topmotiverede ungdomsspilleremed tre trænere fra Værløse Badminton i DM for de allerbedste spillere i landet.Stævnet blev holdt i Vejen Idrætscenter med i alt 428 spillere fra 61 klubber.Værløse havde spillere med i alle aldersgrupper fra de yngste i U13 til deældste i U19.
Anders Molander, Kirstine Duer Thorsen, Melissa Qvist ogCaroline Terreni i U15 samt Malthe Toftgaard i U13 kæmpede flot i de indledendekampe fredag og lørdag, men nåede ikke frem til søndagens afgørende kampe.
Det gjorde til gengæld fem andre spillere fra Værløse. I U13 vandt Cecilie Frost Andersen guld idamedouble og bronze i mixdouble, i U15 vandt Astrid Molander bronze i damedoubleog i U17 blev det til to sølvmedaljer til Daniel Lundgaard i herredouble ogmixdouble.
Værløse havde tre medaljetagere i U19, hvor det blev tilbronze i damedouble og sølv i mixdouble til Sara Lundgaard og bronze til CecilieFinne-Ipsen i mixdouble. Endelig vandt Julie Dawall Jakobsen en meget flotguldmedalje i U19 damesingle efter sejr i to tætte sæt i finalen. Alt i alt enmeget flot medaljehøst til Værløses badmintonungdom.
