Tirsdag den 26. marts, var dagen hvor Solrød 2 spillede deres 2. sidste holdkamp i slutspillet. Modstanderen var Århus AB 2, som lå på sidstepladsen i slutspillet. Vi vidste inden kampen, at vi kunne sikre os pladsen som Danmarks bedste 2. hold, hvis vi kunne formå at få alle 3 point. Så alle spillere var helt klar fra start.
Kampen blev spillet på 4 baner, og der var ikke gået lang tid før Solrød havde bragt sig foran 4-0 med sejre til henholdsvis Elisa og Theis i mix, Amanda og Theo i mix og Freja og Frederikke i DS. Det blev dermed nu tid til 4 herresingler, hvor det lykkedes os at hive 3 ud af 4 hjem. Corell taber desværre til en godt spillende Martin Bundgaard. Men både Elbrønd, Vegard og Oscar vandt deres HS, alle i 2 sæt. Dog var Vegards kamp den tætteste, der endte 21-18, 22-20 mod Rasmus Noes efter en god fight.
Det blev så tid til DD, hvor Elisa og Freja endnu engang vinder i sikker stil med 21-12, 21-8 over Alberte Spure og Cecilie Bjergen. Amanda og Frederikke vinder også, dog efter en lidt tættere kamp med 21-17, 21-19.
Stillingen var nu 9-1 til Solrød, og ud af de sidste 3 herredoubler blev det til 2 sejre. Theis og Theo vinder efter en hurtig og sikker kamp med 21-8, 21-9. Desværre taber Oscar og Corell 17-21, 21-10, 16-21 til Martin Bundgaard og Rasmus Noes, efter en god og lang kamp. Dog slutter kampen af med en sejr til Vegard og Elbrønd over Mads Graversgaard og Jakob Godt, hvor de vinder 21-18, 21-18. Dermed ender tsunamien med at vinde 11-2, og vi kunne derfor officielt kalde os Danmarks bedste 2. hold.
Holdet er dog stadig klar til sæsonens sidste holdkamp mod Greve, der bliver spillet allerede om en uge.
